Responsibilities:

Reporting to Deputy Head (Torch Relay & Other Ceremonies), you are to conceptualise, plan and drive the Torch Relay Community Celebrations and YOG City Celebrations in collaboration with the various stakeholders and partners.

You are to:

Work closely with event partners to deliver the Torch Relay Community Celebrations(TRCC) and the YOG City Celebrations (CLS) events

Engage internal and external stakeholders to rally support and commitment towards a successful staging of the celebrations events

Coordinate with relevant government agencies to secure the celebrations sites

Oversee/monitor the daily operations of the TRCC and CLS with the appointed event partners

Drive and implement the City Celebrations (CLS) project with event partner

Able to plan strategically and manage operational issues

Able to multi-task and function under time pressure

Understand master plan development and able to develop celebration/community site master plan

Good communicator (written and verbal) and confident presentaitons skills

Well-networked with event services providers

Liase with the CEP and COP teams to identify and replicate suitable content for TRCC and CLS

Coordinate the publicity of TRCC and CLS with COMs

Plan Post-Games Appreciation and Celebrations functions

Requirements:

A degree from a recognised university

At least 5 years in large scale event management, preferably in the area of outdoor events of a celebratory nature

Direct involvment in planning and executing the event is required

Experience in Olympic-type or mega-sports events is advantageous
