    James Loh currently serves as Chief Risk Officer of Lenovo Group Limited and is based in Singapore. He is responsible for Lenovo's Credit, Insurance & Enterprise Risk Management globally. In 2006, as Lenovo was integrating its new acquired IBM PC business, James led the setting up of a Global Credit Team in Beijing to oversee the credit management of Lenovo Group's worldwide sales, covering over 60 countries.

    Prior to joining Lenovo, James spent 10 years with IBM, serving in various finance roles, with the last appointments as Head of Sales Operations for Asean/South Asia and as Chief Financial Officer of IBM's PC division, Asean/South Asia.

    James holds a BBA (Hons) from the National University of Singapore and is a qualified Chartered Financial Analyst. He is married to Jasmine who is a dedicated homemaker and they have 3 lovely children, ages 11, 9 and 3.

    In his spare time, James likes to read up on current affairs and economics. He likes the outdoors and is an avid recreational golfer.

  • Zatan Tan (BBA 2003)
    Head (Youth Movement),
    People’s Association
    Industry: Community Development and Services

    Zatan is currently the Head of the People’s Association Youth Movement - one of Singapore’s largest youth organizations. He manages and leads a team in project management, volunteer engagement and strategic functional initiatives for youth development and promoting bonding amongst members and the wider youth community.

    He has been involved with over 100 community projects in 6 years which include coordinating F1 Community Engagement Plan in 2008 across public and private agencies, City Jam 2008 - the first Chingay post street dance party and national forums. He is responsible for facilitating over 600 youth leaders to reach out to 60,000 members and the youth community at large.

    Zatan has been active in community service as well and he facilitates the Explorations in Ethnicity Basic Course with He is also involved in the NUS Business School-YMCA Volunteer Management Service Programme.

    Leonard is the Founder and Managing Director of PurpleClick Media Pte Ltd, an online search marketing agency, specializing in Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and online media. A veteran Search Marketing professional in Singapore and Southeast Asia, Leonard's expertise lies in search marketing and online advertising.. While at Yahoo! Southeast Asia, Leonard was instrumental in re-launching the Sponsored Results platform for Yahoo! in 2004.

    The first and only individual conferred by Yahoo! as its Certified Search Ambassador, Leonard has led and drove PurpleClick Media from a 2-man team in 2006 to a leading online marketing agency, with offices in Singapore and Malaysia. PurpleClick Media is also the first agency in the region to achieve accreditation from both Yahoo and Google.

    In 2008, Leonard was nominated by BusinessWeek as Asia's Top 25 Best Young Entrepreneur. He graduated from NUS Business School and went on to complete his Master with all distinctions in MSc.E-Commerce from Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. Leonard was granted entry into the prestigious Beta Gamma Sigma Business Honor Society. He also authored "PurpleClick's E-Marketing Handbook" which is widely circulated among business owners, marketing professionals, and advertising agencies in Singapore and Malaysia.

  • Benny Koh (NUS BBA 1994)
    Managing Director, Investor Marketing,

    Benny Koh is a Managing Director for Investor Marketing at GE Capital, based in Singapore. In this role, Benny leads efforts to enhance GE Capital's fund-raising capacity and profile in the Asia-Pacific region, by directly engaging fixed income investors and governments to support the Company's short and long-term funding needs.

    Prior to this role, Benny was Asia Treasurer for GE Money, where he was instrumental in shaping the capital structures and treasury strategies for GE Money's businesses in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand and the Philippines. In addition, he was also part of GE Capital's global funding team based in the US from 2002 to 2005, where he built GE Capital's reputation and capability as an issuer of corporate debt in several Asian and European markets.

    Before joining GE in 1999, Benny held leadership positions in the treasury functions of two global companies, where he also helped established regional treasury teams and infrastructure. Benny began his career with Citibank in Singapore.

    While he was based in the US with GE, Benny also served as the Vice-President and Treasurer for the New York-Singapore Association to foster community ties amongst Singaporeans based in New York.

    Benny holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the National University of Singapore and a Master of Business Administration from the Manchester Business School.

    Evelyn currently is the Senior Recruitment Officer of Philips Electronics Singapore Pte Ltd. Her recruitment focus is in commercial roles for experienced professionals within Philips Lighting and Philips Healthcare. Evelyn has over 5 years of experience in recruitment. She was previously the Operations Manager of Premiere Visione Resources specializing in hospitality and customer service recruitment. As a HR generalist, her other responsibilities include operations management, training & development and talent & performance management.

    Richard currently holds the position of deputy director at SingTel, managing a team to handle regulatory policies and compliance matters on behalf o the SingTel group of companies in Singapore.   • Digantoro Tarmizi (APEX-MBA 2005)
    Trade Marketing Team Head,
    PT Heinz ABC Indonesia.

    Dicky is the Head of Trade Marketing team at PT Heinz ABC Indonesia, one of the biggest food and beverage manufacturer in Indonesia and a subsidiary of HJ Heinz – a global US-based food company. Heinz ABC Indonesia is one of the biggest Heinz subsidiaries outside of US which is well known for its soy sauce, chili and syrup regionally.

    Dicky started his career at Procter & Gamble Indonesia 12 years ago in marketing, working for several global brands. His experience include his stint as Assistant Brand Manager for P&G regional at the Singapore office. He later joined PT Sara Lee Indonesia, a subsidiary of Sara Lee corporation that produces Ambi Pur air freshener and Kiwi shoe care products. His experience in Sara Lee saw him taking the roles of marketing, trade marketing and field sales manager. During his time with Sara Lee, he also managed to complete the NUS Asia-Pacific Executive MBA between 2004 to 2005.

    Dicky is very active in supporting NUS to establish NUS Business School alumni (English program) in Jakarta. Together with fellow NUS Business School Alumni, he established the NUS Business School Alumni Jakarta in 2008 and took on the role of treasurer. Dicky received his Bachelor of Economics from the University of Indonesia Faculty of Economics in 1997. He now lives in Jakarta with his wife and two children.

  • Tan Boon Chin (APEX-MBA 2003)

    Boon Chin presently is a Senior VP @NEC Asia. He heads the Government Solutions Business Unit that has over 150 staff. His areas of coverage include the Asean and India sub-continent region. Main focus areas include offering complete IT solutions to Government and Financial sector specializing in "Identity" solutions such as National ID card system, e-Passport system and Automatic Border clearance system.

    Boon Chin started out as a software engineer in 1981 then moved to sales before heading the Government Solutions Business Unit. As a software engineer, his work ranges from software coding and development to project management for real time application. As a salesman, he focuses on selling large system integration projects to Financial and Government sector. With more than 20 years of experience, he has encountered numerous up and down in sales and can share his rich experience with young graduates particularly in the area of sales. He holds a Bachelor of Science (double physics) and a Master of Business from NUS.

  • Daniel Ho (BBA 1992, MBA 1999)

    Daniel is the Director of Strategic Creative Group (SCG), a firm focused on the strategic and innovative application of Information Technology to improve business performance and competitiveness. Daniel is also the Director of People Trends, a 'People Solutions' company focused on creating and providing knowledge, solutions and services relating to People, delivered through its Publications, Executive Search and Conference business.

    Prior to founding these two companies, Daniel had a successful 15 years career in strategic IT planning and management covering the Asia Pacific region for four multi-national companies - Levi Strauss, PSA Corporation, Philips Electronics and SONY. During his overseas job posting with SONY, Daniel served as the vice-chairman of the Singapore Association in Hong Kong, which organised social and volunteer events and activities to foster a closer Singaporean community abroad.

    Daniel graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the National University of Singapore and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Strathclyde, UK.

  • K.F. Chan (BBA Hons 1968)

    Mr K.F Chan is the Founding Director of Lushington Entertainments, a regional household name in events and concerts. Mr Chan also has extensive experience in the financial sector. He previously served as the Director of J Ballas & Co (Vickers Ballas), held the position of Exchange Secretary of the Stock Exchange of Singapore (SGX) and served in the Ministry of Finance Administrative Service.

    Mr Chan is a veteran in the local sports arena. He was previously the CEO of the S League, manager of the Singapore national football team, and council member in the Football Association of Singapore (FAS).

    Mr Chan graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Business Administration Honours and holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of British Columbia.

  • Huynh Quang Hai (GDBA 1999 and MSc (MOT) 2000)

    Hai is currently the Executive Director of VSIP Group (VSIP South and VSIP North) and the CEO of VSIP JSC. VSIP is the flagship project between the Governments of Vietnam and Singapore in industrial park and township developments in Vietnam. Started early 1996 with the first 500ha industrial park 17Km North of Hochiminh City, VSIP is now developing and operating 5 townships and industrial parks nationwide and known as the leading and most successful in its industry. It is the first in the industry in Vietnam awarded the Best Industrial Developer 2008 by Euromoney Magazine as well the ocal prestigious award as one of the most outstanding project of Vietnam in renovation time.

    In his over 12 years of developing the various projects for VSIP, Hai has been a business partner and advisors to many MNCs and companies for their investment projects in Vietnam. He is also the Director of CapitaLand 's first joint venture in residential project in Vietnam – The Vista. Recently, he has been nominated as the Chief of Marketing Advisory Group for the New City Centre of Binh Duong province where he is tasked to select good investors for commercial, residential, medical and education hubs, business parks, etc.

  • Ronald Loke (BBA Hons 1968, MBA 1970)

    Ronald has conducted many financial training courses and manages concurrently his own private enterprises in the hospitality industry and providing consultancy and advisory services in the areas of corporate and personal finance, funds management and other services. Clients served comprise mainly SMEs and private individuals.

    Ronald first worked in the Singapore Government Administrative Service mainly in the Ministry of Communications and Ministry of Finance. Subsequently, he worked over 20 years in the banking and finance industry here with foreign and local banks covering corporate, consumer and investment banking activities locally and overseas. Besides Singapore, he has worked in USA, Vietnam, Hong Kong and many cities in Southeast Asia.

    Ronald graduated with Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) from the University of Singapore in 1968 before going for his post-graduate MBA degree from the George Washington University, Washington DC, USA in 1970.

  • Henry Kwok (BBA 1969)

    Henry is a business developer and entrepreneur. He is a Global Partner with Haines Centre for Strategic Management for the Asia-Pacific Region, based in Singapore. Prior to that, Henry has held senior positions with regional responsibilities in MNCs. He has also offered voluntary service to Singapore International Foundation and UNITAR. Henry has held directorships in several local companies which he has helped set-up and expand internationally.

    Henry has vast experience trading with Chinese companies and is very familiar with their practices. One company, which he helped set-up, has the distinction of being among the first companies to sell commercial cargoes of gas oil and fuel oil into China. That company also partnered with Unocal to process crude oil in Zhenghai Refinery, PRC. Henry is also a proven trader in bulk commodities ranging from crude oils and petroleum products to chemicals and solvents, from grains to vegetable oils. Henry also has vast experience in the transportation industry.

    Mr Lui Seng Fatt holds the office of Regional Director and Head of Investments of Jones Lang LaSalle,based in Singapore as its Asia Pacific regional headquarters. Jones Lang LaSalle (NYSE:JLL) is the only real estate money management and services firm named to FORTUNE magazine's "100 Best Companies to Work For" and Forbes magazine's "400 Best Big Companies".

    Mr Lui has been active in community service and had served as Chairman of the Finance Committee and an Ex-co member of the Marine Parade Town Council. He has also served as an Advisory Member of the Film Preview Board, Singapore, and various positions in public offices. Mr Lui holds an MBA with major in Finance and an RAIA from Australia after obtaining his B.Arch from the University of Singapore under a Government of Singapore Merit Scholarship.

  • Howie Lau (BBA 1993)
